Software Engineer

The Software Engineer will develop and maintain web-based applications. As a member of a development team, the resource will identify, analyze and define application needs to ensure that the technical solution is consistent with business needs and the enterprise technical architecture. The resource will be responsible for reviewing customer requirements and developing the appropriate system requirements and design specifications, which will lead to detailed designs, programs, and testing. The resource will be expected to identify architectural, technology, process and user risks and potential impacts. The resource will analyze and solve complex application development problems; support test activities; review other software developer work products for correctness/efficiency; consult with customers on requirements; and adhere to design concepts and development standards. The resource will work in a fast-paced environment.

Mandatory Skills

1. One (1) to three (3) years of demonstrated software development experience. 2. Three (3) years demonstrated experience integrating commercial off the shelf (COTS) products using Java Programming and Debugging. 3. Demonstrated experience working with ANT Scripting. 4. Demonstrated experience working with J2EE experience to include JMS threads, etc. 5. Demonstrated experience working with Eclipse IDE. 6. Demonstrated experience working with Oracle 11g or higher and SQL to affect changes to COTS functionality.

Desired Skills

1. Demonstrated experience with CM applications. 2. Demonstrated experience with IBM Maximo COTS is strongly desired. 3. Demonstrated experience with IT asset management. 4. Demonstrated experience working with Putty. 5. Demonstrated experience with Linux. 6. Demonstrated experience in the Amazon Cloud. 7. Demonstrated experience providing operations and maintenance support to commercial off the shelf (COTS) products. 8. Demonstrated experience developing in Google Polymer.
