Systems Engineer

The Customer is seeking a Systems Engineer to support business operations transition and innovation within the Customer’s cloud-based environments. The Systems Engineer will work with multiple projects within the Customer’s production, development, and test environments, and will additionally work on the development and refinement of strategic systems planning, business information planning, and cost analysis for the Customer’s technical systems. The Systems Engineer must have an understanding of the big data challenge. The Systems Engineer will work in a mixed technical environment and maintain productivity when switching between projects, business processes, and/or technologies. The Systems Engineer is expected to be familiar with the Amazon Web Services environment and market place and have skills in pricing models and cloud design principles. The Systems Engineer must communicate with development and O&M teams within and externally to the Customer and outside organization.

Systems Engineer

Primary responsibilities include providing premier Tier 4 engineering support for the global enterprise hosting platform infrastructure. You are responsible for supporting the Windows operating system and Citrix Desktop environments. You need to be knowledgeable in multiple current technology areas to include: client/server systems, Citrix XenApp 7.15, networking hardware, protocols and administration, and system integration across multi-tiered IT environments. Systems Engineer

System Engineer candidate will provide end-to-end system lifecycle support for all systems within the PKI Services Branch. Must have an extensive background in PKI Technology including Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP), Secure Hash Algorithm 1 & 2 (SHA1 & SHA2), HSMs, system engineering, systems architecture, application deployment, Windows OS and Linux OS. Responsibilities include: • Identify system integrity issues and solutions for the full system life cycle from concept to disposal. • Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. • Ensure designs are compatible with the architecture and allocates requirements to segments. Tasks • Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, cost estimation, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. • Provide staff and users with assistance solving computer-related problems, such as malfunctions and program problems. • Test, maintain, and monitor programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of programs and systems. • Consult with management to ensure agreement on system principles. • Expand or modify system to serve new purposes or improve workflow. Systems Engineer

As a Systems Engineer, you will support the design, development, installation, configuration, and customization of a WebSphere Application server and its components. You will also, be responsible for the development of customized business logic and solutions to support transitioning a Maximo application implementation into the ServiceNow platform. This role includes the following duties: • Building and deploying applications in WebSphere Application Server and understanding of the software development lifecycle process • WebSphere HTTP Plug-in configuration and tuning • Utilization of SSL certificates to secure traffic between tiers • Installing/Upgrading, configuring, and tuning WebSphere products (WAS) at customer sites • Working with an Enterprise Architecture team in planning and designing optimum configurations for Java applications running on WebSphere • Solid WebSphere System Management and Architecture experience managing mission critical 24/7 applications • Configuring and tune caching, DRS, thread pooling and, JVM heaps • Coordinating performance testing of major software releases • Writing and deploying JavaScript and/or Java code • Demonstrating experience in Maximo 7 to implement Tivoli Process Automation Engine technology on Maximo Asset Management, Tivoli Service Request Manager, Tivoli Asset Management for IT, and other applications run off the TPAE architecture. • Facilitating redesign of current processes and data for best practice in both Maximo and ServiceNow • Documenting the agreements and process design • Developing a user training plan and training documentation, leading test plan development, and assisting test the system
