Software Developer

The Software Developer will be part of a larger team of Software Developers supporting real mission initiatives. The position entails delivering services within a cloud environment. While working within an Agile project team. The position will require entails data extracting, analytical review, transforming, and loading raw data into databases using Pentaho, SQL Developer, Java and other tools. Raw data is extracted into database tables and cleansed to make sure information is appropriately categorized. The work includes large-scale file manipulation, data modeling, data mapping, data testing, data quality, and metrics and analysis, and documentation preparation. Additionally, the Developer will work with other parts of the team to maintain process, schedule and quality controls. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for completion of each data set in an efficient and timely manner. • Maintaining records of what and how information was extracted, transformed and loaded. • Utilizing knowledge of tools for automation or process improvement, if applicable. • Leverage experience to provide support in the areas of data extraction, transformation and load (ETL), data mapping, data extraction, • Provide analytical support, database support, and maintenance support for data exploitation systems. • Provide and support large-scale file manipulation, data modeling, data mapping, data testing, data quality, and documentation preparation. • Work with other teams, program leadership, and key stake holders as needed.

Software Developer

This position is in support of an extremely complex, highly visible mission hosting platform. The candidate must have full life cycle development experience of frontend User Interface (UI) and backend software in an Agile eingineering/development environment. Duties include engineering, design, coding, debugging, unit testing, and assistance in quality assurance testing of custom software. Candidate must be able to integrate software with existing systems, develop in a team invironment, and assist with tier 3 / 4 support to operations staff alon with meeting project schedules. Candidate analyzes user needs and develops software solutions using Agile and / or DevOps methodologies. Deisgns software or customizes existing software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. Converts project specificaions and statements of problems / procedures to detailed logicial workflows for coding.
