Software Engineer

Primary responsibilities include providing premier Tier 4 engineering support for the global enterprise hosting platform infrastructure. You are responsible for supporting the Windows operating system and Citrix Desktop environments. You need to be knowledgeable in multiple current technology areas to include: client/server systems, Citrix XenApp 7.15, networking hardware, protocols and administration, and system integration across multi-tiered IT environments. Specific tasks include: • Provide staff and users with assistance solving computer related problems, such as malfunctions and program problems. • Test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems. • Coordinate and link the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility and so information can be shared. • Consult with management to ensure agreement on system principles. • Expand or modify system to serve new purposes or improve workflow. • Assist in establishing standards for information systems procedures. • Produces engineering solutions, automated when feasible, that may be transitioned to an O&M organization. • Expand or modify system to serve new purposes or improve workflow. • Analyze and study complex system requirements. • Apply the concept of operations set of disciplines for the planning, analysis, design and construction of information systems across a major sector of the organization. • Develop analytical and computational techniques and methodology for problem solutions. • Analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities. • Prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation. • Other duties as assigned.

Software Engineer

Daily responsibilities include the design, development, and modification of monitoring solutions from concept to delivery to include application instrumentation, monitoring configuration, creation of health rules and custom dashboards. The candidate must be able to convert sometimes obscure requirements, project details, and problem descriptions into working monitoring solutions, and custom dashboards. The candidate will provide software patching, version control, testing, upgrades, debugging, and product refinement to deploy and maintain quality monitoring solutions. Preparation of program and end-user documentation as needed. Perform the following for the AppDynamics Application Performance Monitoring system (as needed). The candidate will also: • Assist clients to instrument their application to be monitored by AppDynamics. • Create and modify AppDynamics monitoring solutions defining enterprise events and alarms • Work directly with clients to create customized health rules and dashboards. • Help with the implementation of Change Requests and tasks for development team • Assist clients to configure their AppDynamics monitoring • System restoration, especially after patching or upgrades. • Account creation and administration • Integrate AppDynamics solutions into the event Management Ticketing System • Help to manage and maintain the client’s core monitoring systems (IBM Tivoli OMNIBus and IBM Tivoli Monitoring). • Support the integration of customer element manager systems. • Create/modify system documentation and standard operating procedures.

Software Engineer

The Sponsor’s web-based research, analysis, and collaboration application allows the Sponsor's staff members to perform tasks, such as building queries to search various electronic data holdings; quickly triage message traffic and documents related to a search; access tools for advanced search, translate foreign language documents and provide feedback on issues they find as well as features/improvements they would like to see. Sponsor’s application is used by all analysts in both the Sponsor and throughout the entire Sponsor's partnership environment. The Software Engineer will provide application development support to the team with a specific emphasis on developing the user interface and new services. The successful candidate will work in partnership with an integrated team of staff and contractors using agile and test driven development methodologies to: • perform analysis, design, development and testing of new web services using agile and test driven development methodologies; • translate customer and system requirements into design; • design new system interface components and features; • develop custom code and integrate commercial tools and technologies with few to no defects; • participate in all phases of the project life cycle and integration engineering and testing with other corporate systems and components; and • provide appropriate documentation, conduct and participate in peer reviews, and perform formal unit testing, and some level of integration testing; • adhere to all project norms for development, work management, code check in procedures, and code reviews.

Software Engineer

The software engineer position is part of the sponsor's Authorization Service team, which develops, deploys, and maintains COTS and custom components for both the Sponsor and Sponsor’s partners Enterprise Authorization Services. Enterprise Authorization Services are a critical piece of the Sponsor and Sponsor partners strategies for improving consistency, compliance and security needed to enable enhanced data sharing across the Sponsor The Authorization Services leverage cloud hosting to meet availability, scalability and security demands. The Software engineer will work as part of the Agile/Scrum development team responsible for the design, development, integration, testing, and deployment COTS and custom components for the services. The Software engineer will assist in the installation, deployment, and maintenance of the COTS product, making configuration changes as needed. Responsibilities will include interfacing with the infrastructure teams during upgrades or troubleshooting. The Software engineer may support the development of new customer digital policies and integrating them with the enterprise service. The Software engineer may interface with customers during digital policy creation, policy ingestion, policy integration, and testing. The Software engineer will support the implementation of an automated unit and integration testing capability for access control policies and other service components using JUnit. The Software engineer must have strong experience deploying solutions in a cloud environment. The Software engineer will also assist in the creation of technical documentation and other routine programmatic and security accreditation artifacts. This is full lifecycle software management. While deployment and administration of a COTS tool is the primary tactical project objective, development of Java components which call the COTS software API’s will be critical to achieving strategic objectives. The successful candidate may support end user training on the creation and management of access control policies. Interested candidates must have more than intermittent exposure to mandatory skills. Strong candidates will have a commanding knowledge of mandatory skills and be able to articulate depth and breadth of each skill.

Software Engineer

The Sponsor is seeking a highly motivated individual to assist with design, development, and deployments to an existing high-profile enterprise API Portal. This individual will bring new ideas and perspectives to an already talented development/engineering team in an agile DevOps environment. Responsibilities include: • Developing detailed specifications and designs inside an agile environment • Creating technical documentation and working from a story board • Designing solutions from both ground up as well as augmenting existing baselines • Managing and working within the code deployment process using DevOps best practices • Validating and testing code (including peer review and automated unit testing) • Deployments and responsibility for health of a heavily used production system The Sponsor is seeking a strong, multi-disciplinary (well-rounded) developer who has skill sets in a variety of IT technologies. The candidate will work in an integrated test-driven development environment that is highly reliant on DevOps, AWS, and related emerging technologies. The candidate will be expected to provide independent working ability as well as teamwork skills to provide resilient and creative solutions. Team members are expected to develop new functionality, as well as provide recommendations/upgrades on existing systems. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily operations and maintenance, which includes assisting with the extension, enhancement, refactoring, and architecture of the existing software and responding to a variety of ad hoc requests. This position will join an integrated project team and new team members will be expected to work closely with a variety of skill sets, such as Project Managers, System Engineers, Developers, and Architects.
