Software Engineer

The Customer is looking for an energetic, creative resource with excellent skills who will work with technical project implementation. This position is for a software engineer to work with the Customer IT environment (architecture, applications, technologies, and infrastructure). The Candidate will work closely with customer’s staff lead for Authentication program activities within the Sponsor's office. The software engineer will work within an Agile development team to design, develop, integrate, test, and deploy COTS components. The software engineer will develop, maintain and enhance components and perform installation, maintenance, and deployment of the COTS product, making configuration changes as needed. The resource is expected to work with authentication and authorization in cloud environments. The software engineer will interface with the infrastructure teams during deployments or troubleshooting. The successful candidate will work with new and existing customers to ensure authentication and identity propagation requirements are satisfied. The individual will provide adhoc support to project-related activities as needed and tasked by management, and will work with project management to prioritize multiple customer stories and tasking when conflicts arise. This work requires significant interaction across many customers and groups and other Service Providers to understand requirements, assess enterprise capabilities that fulfill these needs, and ensure services are compliant with customer's governance.

Software Engineer

The Sponsor’s web-based research, analysis, and collaboration application allows the Sponsor's staff members to perform tasks such as building queries to search both secure and un-secure electronic data holdings; quickly triage message traffic related to a search; access tools for advanced search, translate foreign language documents and provide feedback on issues they find as well as features/improvements they would like to see. Sponsor’s application is used by all analysts in both the Sponsor and throughout the entire Sponsor's partnership environment. The software engineer will provide application development support to the team with a specific emphasis on developing the user interface and new services. The successful candidate will work in partnership with an integrated team of staff and contractors using Agile and test driven development methodologies to: • perform analysis, design, development and testing of new web services using Agile and test driven development methodologies; • translate customer and system requirements into design; • design new system interfaces; • develop custom code and integrate commercial tools and technologies with few to no defects; • participate in all phases of the project lifecycle and integration engineering and testing with other corporate systems and components; and • provide appropriate documentation, conduct and participate in peer reviews, and perform formal unit testing, and some level of integration testing • adhere to all project norms for development, work management, code check in procedures, and code reviews

This position is for a software engineer with deep, broad technical knowledge and experience with the Customer IT environment (architecture, applications, technologies, and infrastructure). The Candidate will work closely with customer’s staff lead for Authentication program activities within the Sponsor's office. The engineer will lead the O&M team to integrate, test, and deploy COTS components. The engineer will oversee the maintenance and enhancement of the Sponsor components and supervise installation, maintenance, and deployment of the COTS product, making configuration changes as needed. Prior knowledge of authentication and authorization is helpful as is experience with cloud environments. The engineer will lead the infrastructure teams performing deployments or troubleshooting.
