Release Engineer

The candidate will stage and roll out integrated releases to include software and The candidate will stage and roll out integrated releases to include software and policy updates to the customer’s production environment, while protecting the integrity of the existing production baseline. Responsibilities include: • Manage the configuration of the customer's primary classified IT platform and the software deployed to it. • Prepare server and workstation releases to be piloted and deployed in the customer’s production environment and advise the customer on the impact. • Stage and roll out monthly security patches to the customer’s servers • Follow an extensive piloting process prior to release deployment to reduce risks. • Tier 3 support to investigate release-related issues. • Attend review boards and design meetings to review and evaluate system requirements. • Identify recurring O&M problems and recommend steps to reduce the severity and frequency of the problems. • Assist application developers with testing and debugging programs to ensure compatibility with existing server technologies. • Sunset obsolete content from Configuration Manager. • Assist in establishing standards for information systems procedures • Other duties as assigned.
