Systems Engineer

An Enterprise System Engineer serves to maintain a strong awareness of technical trends in information technology, develop and maintain a strong awareness of on-going IT projects, and business unit requirements. The Systems Engineer will be able to apply the project management model (e.g. Spiral, Waterfall, Agile) selected for a given development effort and provide analysis, design, development, deployment, and life-cycle support for innovative hardware systems and applications. The work involves being able to ensure systems being developed comply with the enterprise technical architecture; help project teams prepare for customer Project Management Program control gates; and keep management apprised of project or program status. Assignments may include leading teams consisting of contractor personnel. Specifically: The work will entail system design, engineering, configuration and development. The system supported will be used to host various training applications in support of the Learning Enterprise. The contract resource will be responsible for creating and integrating certificate authentication; developing and communicating server specifications to client PM for procurement; participating in system security planning and documentation; installation and setup of server and systems software; working with clients to develop requirements; communicating required development tasks to the client PM and other project developers; providing software development and testing; providing guidance on user interface specifications; and providing incremental project progress reviews to client. The resource will help business units identify technology solutions with the potential to improve business processes. The resource will work with Learning Systems Managers as well as technical and analytical counterparts to define constraints, and develop requirements and concept of operations documentation. Also the Systems Engineer will work with stakeholders to identify best-fit technical solutions for business unit needs; identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies; migrate existing systems to Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud platform; provide conceptual design, prototype, and test cycles appropriate to a chosen technical solution; identify and manage dependencies with other systems and elements of the IT infrastructure; evaluate industry offering to identify products and technologies with the potential to support the design; identify environmental impacts on systems; survey products and technical infrastructure as part of the system selection process; assess system designs to validate them against expected technical parameters; identify hardware and applications needed to complete the development process; develop and implement test plans for commercial off the shelf (COTS) and custom developed systems; and ensure all product and administrative documentation is completed and maintained in order to ensure continuity and historical reference.

Systems Engineer

The Sponsor is seeking a Systems Engineer with knowledge of customer mission, organizational framework, finance execution and budget structure to serve as a functional and technical resource for the requirements and design support of the Business Operating Plan (BOP) and other budget applications. The engineer will work closely with the Sponsor staff product owners and stakeholders by providing facilitation support and capturing the to-be system requirements and design for the future application. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for all content needed to facilitate requirement and design sessions and is required to document application artifacts that describe detailed decisions, requirements and design. The candidate will coordinate closely with the team leading the development of the applications as part of the effort to ensure the successful integration and implementation of both applications. Duties will include initiating and facilitating working group session that detail concept of operations, process flow diagrams, requirements definition and mock design concepts working with non-technical stakeholders and for capturing all technical and non-technical artifacts.

Systems Engineer

A program requires a systems engineer to develop and implement special communications systems in support of the Sponsor’s expeditionary mission platforms. The engineer will join a small team working to deliver all aspects of the communications solution to include terrestrial & satellite WAN paths and wired & wireless LAN infrastructure. The engineer will support the team in gathering, documenting, and validating new mission requirements, presenting technical alternatives to stakeholders, engaging vendors on new and existing products, and testing and implementing network solutions. Systems Engineer

The sponsor organization is seeking a Systems Engineer to support various Mobility efforts within the organization. The candidate selected will manage a multitude of competing priorities, will be communicating at all levels of an organization, and will use their understanding of Mobile technology in the Sponsor’s environment. Systems Engineer

The Enterprise Access Services Group (EASG) is seeking a highly experienced and flexible Systems Engineer to serve as the liaison between Sponsor and partnering agencies acting as Operations Manager to maintain operational continuity between Customer and partner’s Identification, Authentication, and Authorization (IAA) systems. The primary duty of the IAA Operations SE will be to author, coordinate, and implement processes along with associated interagency agreements (MOU, MOA, SLA, etc.) to ensure maximum availability of the IAA systems to include escalation to external organizations as needed. Secondary duties of the Operations SE include, but are not limited to, serving as Sponsor Asset Management Responsible Officer, managing deployment schedules, and de-conflicting deliverable deployments.

Systems Engineer

The Sponsor is seeking a highly motivated individual to assist with the, design, deployment and integration of a high profile enterprise API Portal. This individual will join an existing development and systems team while bringing exciting ideas into a rapid and Agile DEVOPS environment. Responsibilities include: • Developing detailed specifications inside an agile environment; • Creating technical documentation and working from a story board; • Designing solutions from both ground up as well while future-proofing the design; • Developing deployment processes and utilizing them for the application; • Managing and working within the deployment process; • Validating and testing code (including peer unit testing and review); • Monitoring, CI and maintenance for the health of the system. The Sponsor is seeking a strong Systems Engineer with a rounded understanding of a multi-disciplinary candidate that is an expert in a variety of IT concepts and is comfortable as a team leader in design, innovation and a full mastery of the COTS product. A candidate will work in an integrated test driven development environment that is highly reliant on DevOPS, AWS and related emerging technologies. The candidate will be expected to provide independent working ability as well as utilizing paired programming techniques to construct resilient and creative solutions to answer the challenges of this system. Team members are expected to develop specifications and make recommendations on existing systems using new and emerging technologies to promote system stability for the Sponsor's partners. Also, the candidate will be responsible with assisting with the daily operation and maintenance, which includes assisting with the extension, enhancement, refactoring, and architecture of the existing software and responding to a variety of ad hoc requests. This position will join an integrated project team and new team members will be expected to work closely with a variety of skill sets, such as Project Managers, Developers and Architects.

Systems Engineer

The Customer is looking for an energetic, creative resource with excellent skills and a proven track record of successful technical project implementation. The Candidate will work closely with customer’s staff lead for Authentication program activities within the Sponsor's office. The individual will work within an agile development team to design, develop, integrate, test, and deploy COTS components. They will develop, maintain and enhance the components and perform installation, maintenance, and deployment of the COTS product, making configuration changes as needed. Prior knowledge of cloud technologies is helpful. The Systems Engineer will interface with the development teams during deployments or troubleshooting. The successful candidate will work with new and existing customers to ensure authentication and identity propagation requirements are satisfied. The individual will provide ad hoc support to project-related activities as needed and tasked by management, and will work with project management to prioritize multiple customer stories and tasking when conflicts arise. This work requires significant interaction across many customers and groups and other Service Providers to understand requirements, assess enterprise capabilities that fulfill these needs, and ensure services are compliant with customer's governance.
